Who are The Moodies? The Moodies is a self-help support group that consists of consumers and family members. We are an affiliate of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), the nation's largest patient-run illness-specific organization. We are the Tuscaloosa Chapter of the DBSA and have adopted the nickname of "The Moodies". DBSA and The Moodies membership is open to everyone who cares about health and hopes for those that are mentally ill, particularly those that have depression or bipolar disorder. We do not advocate any specific therapy or treatment, but instead offer support and encouragement. Please note that information shared at meetings is confidential. Meetings only work if you come and come back.
